Comm Errors - IP (VXN)

OK you probably have VXN error 53 or 7. Both are fixable without calling Datawire. Somewhere along the line, this terminal has lost its connection to the internet. Here are a few things we can try to get to the bottom of it...

• Power-cycle the terminal
• Reboot the Router - If no one is using the network, go ahead and unplug it, leave it out for 15 secs, and then plug it back in (make sure you unplug the ethernet from the terminal as well, so we make sure it gets a nice new IP address)
• Verify the internet is working everywhere else - I know, seems dumb, just checking...
• Still not working? Ask if any changes were made to the network, new router, new cables, anything new..?
• OK fine, we can try assigning it an IP address, are you ready?

Assigning an IP Address Manually

• Touch System
• Touch Setup
• Touch LAN
• Touch Set IP Address
• Enter in all the information, Press Enter
• Touch Ping to test connection
• Press enter on valid address (www.yahoo.com should appear by default)
• If responses are good, try a transaction out, if not.... something else is wrong, call Datawire.
